WOW! We are finally at our new navy station. Ballston Spa, New York but we currently live in Corinth. This atmosphere is a completely new territory for me and the girls. Scott has been up here once to march in the Macy's parade back in highschool with his band but it's still new to him. I'm finally able to catch up on everything while enjoying some Haagen-Dazs strawberry sorbet. :) I feel like I'm starting over but too far from home. I'm still in shock and I'm sure Scott is to that we're even up here. It seems so unreal to us.
On the upside of things, we have a beautiful temporary home. It's big and nice. So much closet space and it has a basement. There are so many best parts of this house to me that it's not even funny. I have a WALK IN PANTRY...which if you know our last house, it didnt have a pantry at all; we also have a laundry facility...which is awesome to me because I can know when the laundry is done and I dont have to walk out into the garage and freeze to do laundry; closets..lots of closet space; and a hidden trash can!! I've always wanted one of those. Scott and I actually have a master bathroom. Double sink, garden tub, separate shower and lots of storage. The girls have a nice size bathroom which makes me happy because they have room for their stuff. I got the house I wanted and I hope this makes us feel more at home even though we're so far away.
We will get used to this northern life and it will become second nature to us....eventually. The snow has come and gone already and will come again. Scott starts work soon and I pray that goes smoothly for him. We shall see and I will keep everyone updated as our new adventure continues. Night, night all.
